Lucy is the Chief Morale Officer and official Pawalegal at Cates & Reed, PLLC.
As Dwane’s puppy, Lucy reports to the office on Fridays with one very important mission: boost morale, spread love, and make sure the humans are doing okay. Her job duties include tail wags, happy greetings, emotional support, surprise visits, and collecting as many pets as possible.
Although Lucy has not yet passed the bark exam, she is already an essential member of the team. She understands that criminal defense work can be stressful, and she takes pride in helping the office reset with a little joy, comfort, and puppy love.
Lucy’s presence is a reminder that while the work is serious, the people doing it still need moments of light. Whether she is making her office rounds or simply being her sweet self, Lucy brings warmth, happiness, and a much-needed morale boost to the firm every Friday.
